I have a new Crossvine (Bignonia capreolata) that has a single seedpod so far. What is the best it eventually will. From Virginia Tech, picture of mature seed.
Description:At season's end or next season's beginning when you are extracting them from their habitat, it is easy to break them. During summer, chartreuse 'wings' unfold on the seed pods that look like butterflies. Considerations Consider the amount of room available where you intend to grow your plant and what direction the plant will grow before you plant your seeds. However, with its fast growth, it's also a good candidate as an annual vine in Northern climates. Zones since it can be damaged by severe cold. Plan to prune these new shoots annually to prevent crossvine from spreading to places it is unwanted.
